Perhaps not everyone will know the Saleen brand, it is an American manufacturer and tuner, known for some processing work carried out on some Mustangs of the 2000s. In fact, Saleen has also produced some exclusive cars, such as the very powerful Saleen S7, a mid-engined supercar, with certainly intriguing lines and stunning performance. There was also an extreme version, called Saleen S7 LM, capable of the beauty of over 1,000 HP.
Saleen S7 LM, the limited edition gem
It was a homologated street version, with a counterpart engaged in endurance races of those years. It was probably one of the first modern Hypercars, in fact, the Twin Turbo version could reach insane speeds, with a declared value of 399 km / h. The prodigy of this car was certainly its engine, an extreme 7.0 V8 of General Motors derivation which, in the standard configuration produced 550 hp, on the Twin Turbo version it reached 750 hp while in our LM version that we show you today it could boast 1,000 hp and 1,152 Nm of torque, for a 0-100 km / h of less than 2.7 seconds, crazy numbers for those years.
All this was surprisingly coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission, on well 1,000 hp and all the power was sent only to the rear wheels, managed by an LSD limited-slip differential: crazy things.
This version in particular is a 2007 Saleen S7 Twin Turbo which was revised in 2018 and named LM. Some aesthetic changes have also been applied such as the metallic silver paint and glossy black finishes along with some parts of the bodywork. We also find a dedicated aerodynamic kit, with 19 rims on the front and 20 on the rear, as well as high-performance Michelin tires. Auction price? It has not yet been communicated.
