Nissan X-Trail is the largest Nissan crossover you could find in the range at the moment and which now adds a juicy version to its resume: here is the special Salomon version.

The Salomon version is based on the N-Connecta and Tekna configurations of X-Trail and also features chrome mirror caps and lower tailgate trim, roof crossbars, set of two Salomon Prolog70 travel bags with a capacity of 70 liters, with retractable shoulder straps, padded back, shoulder strap and consisting of two separate waterproof compartments, external and internal Salomon badges.

 

Technology

thanks to the presence of the new Navigation and Infotainment System A-IVI, equipped with voice commands and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Now we can have a connected navigator with real-time traffic information, over-the-air or USB map updates, and door-to-door navigation. This last function shows the entire journey from the starting point to the final destination, including the stretches to be covered on foot that is reproduced on the customer’s smartphone. Nissan X Trail Salomon can be equipped with seven seats if required.

 

THE ENGINES

Under the bonnet, there is the 150 bhp 1.7l dCi, available in 2WD and 4WD versions, with a six-speed manual gearbox or Xtronic CVT automatic and, again, the 160 bhp 1.3l DIG-T petrol 2WD drive, combined with the DCT dual-clutch automatic transmission. Present with only the 1.7 dCi 150 HP engine and X-Tronic gearbox, on the N-Connecta and Tekna configurations, the advanced driving assistance system ProPILOT with adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Maintenance System, which keeps the vehicle in the center of the roadway and Traffic Jam Pilot, which allows the vehicle to be decelerated, stopped and restarted automatically.

Safety

the Safety Shield (package of safety technologies), is standard on all versions of X-Trail starting from the Acenta version and includes Intelligent emergency braking with pedestrian recognition, Unintentional lane change warning, Intelligent Traffic Sign Detection System, and Automatic High Beam Control.
