The price list of the Fiat Tipo starts at 18,500 euros for the 5-door from 20,000 euros for the station wagon, but with the discounts, the starting price is reduced to 13,900 euros.
TWO VARIANTS– Five years after its presentation, the compact Fiat Tipo family is renewed, consisting of the 4-door, 5-door sedan, and station wagon variants. Already orderable, the 2021editionof the Type 5 door is offered with prices starting at 18,500 euros; with the same engine and equipment, the Station Wagon costs 1,500 euros more. In the first phase of the sale, prices are discounted: for those who pay by financing, the 5-door at the base of the range starts at13,900 euros.
THE ENGINES– Three engines of the Fiat Tipo: there is the 100 bhp 1.0 turbocharged petrol, which replaces the previous 95 bhp 1.4, and the 95 bhp 1.3 MultiJet II and 130 bhp 1.6 MultiJet II diesel engines (this last has 10 horses more than before) updated to be in line with the new anti-smog regulations. The 1.0 and 1.3 have the 5-speed manual transmission, the 1.6 has the 6-speed manual transmission.
THE BASE IS LOW – The Fiat Tipo is offered with four trim levels. It starts from the base, with the manual climate control, the 16 ”wheel covers, and the Uconnect multimedia system, equipped with digital radio and bluetooth, but also the speed regulator. Automatic braking is not available, not even for a fee. For 1,500 euros more, there is City Life: in addition to what is proposed by the Tipo, it comes as standard with automatic climate control, LED daytime running lights, leather steering wheel, and gear knob and the advanced version of the Uconnect multimedia system, with a 7 ”screen and compatibility for smartphones. For a fee, City Life may have accessory packages not available for the Tipo, such as the useful 700-euro Safety Pack: it has automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot monitoring in the mirrors.
THE TOP IS BUSINESS – With another 1,500 euros more, you move to Life, equipped with fog lights, rear distance sensors, automatic activation of the “wipers”, driver’s seat with lumbar adjustment and electric mirrors with defrost function, in addition to the 7 ”screen in the dashboard. The headlights and led lights are also standard, not offered for the previous edition; in addition, the headlights have automatic high beams. The Business set- up is the richest: for the same engine, it costs 900 euros more than the Life but offers automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring in the mirrors, and rear power socket as standard.
CROSSOVER STYLE – For the Fiat Tipo 5-door there are the City Cross and Cross variants, introduced with the 2021 edition: they have front-wheel drive and a crossover-style look, due to the 4 cm raised suspension compared to the standard Tipo, black tail plates along the wheel arches and gray protections in the lower part of the front fascia, under the doors and at the rear, inspired by the shock plates of off-road vehicles. The City Cross starts at 21,500 euros and has automatic climate control and 16 ”alloy wheels, but no automatic braking (optional in the Safety Pack, at 700 euros); the Cross, from 23,500 euros, has 17 ”alloy wheels and the most recent version of the Uconnect system, with a 10.25” screen, as well as automatic braking and driving aids.
