Porsche presents the Porsche Cayenne Turbo as the new top model of the series at the Frankfurt Motor Show (-24.9.2017). The 4.0-liter V8 Biturbo engine has an output of 404 kW / 550 PS. That is 30 hp more than its predecessor. The torque increases by 20 Newton meters to 770 Nm. Equipped with a roof spoiler and a new high-performance brake as well as additional options such as rear-axle steering or electrical roll stabilization with a 48-volt system, the SUV accelerates from zero to 100 km / h in 4.1 seconds (3.9 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package) reaches a top speed of 286 km / h.
The Cayenne Turbo has an independent front end and the LED main headlights of the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS). At night, the new Turbo differs from the other Cayenne models with its two-row front lights. Standard 21-inch turbo wheels reserved for the top model in the widened wheel arches with painted wheel arch covers characterize the side view. Differentiating features at the rear are the turbo-specific twin tailpipes. The door side strips and the rear lower section are painted in the exterior color.
The completely new interior offers more sportiness and at the same time more comfort. Almost all vehicle functions of the fully networked SUV can be viewed and operated using the high-resolution displays and touchscreens of the Porsche Advanced Cockpit. Including, for example, the standard Bose surrounds sound system with 710 watts. The integrated headrests are new ?? This, too, is reminiscent of the 911. All seats and the multifunction sports steering wheel in an exclusive Turbo design are heated as standard.
The new Cayenne Turbo is the first SUV to have an adaptive roof spoiler as part of the active aerodynamics. Depending on the position, this optimizes efficiency, increases the contact pressure on the rear axle, and shortens the braking distance from higher speeds in the airbrake position. With an emergency stop from 250 km / h, the SUV comes to a standstill up to two meters earlier.
