Ducati continues to focus on the world of eBikes and after having recently presented the e-Scrambler pedal-assisted electric bike, the brand has announced the launch of 3 new proposals. These are folding eBikes, models designed to make urban mobility easier and more comfortable. Urban-E was created in collaboration with Italdesign, while SCR-E and SCR-E Sport are bikes dedicated to the Scrambler. All 3 models will be distributed by MT Distribution.
SCR-E And SCR-E Sport
The SCR-E model can count on the easy folding closure system that allows you to fold the bike in a few simple steps. The frame is made of aluminium and the 2 wheels weigh a total of 24 kg. The engine has been inserted in the rear wheel hub and is a Bafang 8FUN. It has a power of 250 W. The battery, integrated with the frame, has a capacity of 374 Wh and offers an autonomy that can reach 70 Km. The assistance reaches up to a maximum speed of 25 Km / h.
Standard tires fat 20”x4 ”, lights, suspension fork, disc brakes, fenders, and an LCD display with a sensor for automatic lights. The gearbox is a 7-speed Shimano. The SCR-E Sport model differs, however, for the presence of the rear suspension and a 468 Wh battery for the autonomy of up to 80 km. Weight of 25 kg. The tires are road tires. These models are already available for purchase. It starts at 1,699 euros.
The Urban-E electric bike model was created by Ducati in collaboration with Italdesign around the special aluminium frame equipped with the easy folding closure system. The bike handlebar mount houses the fully-integrated LCD display, which allows you to control all assistance functions, check the remaining battery charge and turn the LED lights on and off.
The motor is always 250 W and the battery integrated with the frame has a capacity of 374 Wh. Special features, the arched shape and the red colour of the accumulator are a precise reference to the tanks of Ducati motorcycles. Autonomy reaches up to 70 km. Standard suspension front fork, mudguards, fat 20”x4 ‘tires and 7-speed Shimano gearbox. It will arrive on the market starting in October.
