The new Audi RS7 Sportback is an extremely high-performance car from the German manufacturer, as well as a super sedan with over 600 HP and 800 Nm of maximum torque resulting from its powerful 4.0 V8 biturbo that we have already been able to appreciate in various Volkswagen Group applications. The performance is truly lightning-fast, with a maximum speed of 305 km / h and a sprint to 0-100 km / h covered in just 3.6 seconds, despite its 2,000 kg weight. The starting price is 138,000 euros.
The American and Asian version does not have FAP, feel that SOUND
For the uninitiated, the particulate filter on petrol cars is a prerogative of the European market, probably the most attentive to emissions and pollution. The EU anti-pollution standards are very strict and this has led all manufacturers, with a view to Euro 6d-Temp approval, to install this filter also on petrol engines.
However there are some markets that do not need this limitation, such as those mentioned above, and in fact, can fully enjoy the magnificent sound of these powerful engines. The video in question shows a beautiful Audi RS7 Sportback 2021, destined for the Asian market, from whose exhausts a unique melody comes out. We were also used to hearing such soundtracks until a few years ago before the FAP made its appearance.
Aggressive and dynamic design
We already know the lines, with both the sleek and sinuous shape, enriched by this beautiful Nardò Gray shade, now Audi’s trademark. Obviously, the equipment is very rich, with full-LED headlights as standard and 20 “wheels, while as an option you can select 21″ alloy wheels and carbon-ceramic brakes, for top-level performance. It is also equipped with an electro-actuated rear spoiler, capable of automatically rising above 100 km / h or with a dedicated button inside the passenger compartment.
New mild-hybrid V8 TFSI engine
The renewed 4.0 V8 TFSI bitrubo with 600 HP and 800 Nm of torque makes its début on the new Audi RS7 Sportback, which also gains a new 48V mild-hybrid system, capable of slightly lowering fuel consumption and guaranteeing small tax breaks. The acceleration up to 100 km / h is covered in just 3.6 seconds while the top speed is 280 km / h, but thanks to the optional Dynamic package it can be unlocked up to 305 km / h.
Rich equipment for a top car
Standard on the new Audi RS7 we find the air suspension (air suspensions RS), the full-LED headlights, progressive steering, RS sports seats, and more, but just as many accessories appear to be an option to configure the car at will.
